"Tatkarmakshaya Paalayine: May the divine sustain and protect the balance of all that is."

To be honest, I’m still figuring it out myself. Life has a funny way of shaping who we are, and my beliefs have certainly evolved over time — and I believe that’s perfectly natural. We’re always changing, and our journeys are never linear.

At 25, I underwent chemotherapy, an experience that shifted the trajectory of my life in ways I never expected. Before that, I wasn’t particularly religious. I was born into a Hindu family, but I wasn’t really living according to the values I was raised with. I ate beef without guilt and even promoted it because, at that time, I enjoyed the taste.

Today, however, I’m a vegetarian, and I’ve chosen not to eat onions or garlic either. My spiritual journey has led me to the path of Lord Krishna, and while I don’t intend to preach, I believe that our experiences — even the painful ones — help shape us into the highest version of ourselves. God breaks us down and then rebuilds us, and in that rebuilding, we become aligned with our true purpose.

So, you might ask, Isn’t it counterproductive to launch a blog in an age where AI can write entire papers in seconds?

Maybe it is. But for me, this blog is not just about writing. It’s about sharing the evolution of my soul, something AI can’t replicate. This is a space where I can express the ongoing process of rebuilding, not just in the material world, but in the spiritual world as well. Think of it like updating your iPhone to the latest software version — that’s what Tipsy Monk is about.

Tipsy Monk is my journey of rebuilding — my journey toward understanding and aligning with the divine. The man I am today is not the man I was a few years ago. I have surrendered to God, committed to following the teachings of Krishna and the Bhagavad Gita. I am on a mission to give back to society and help others come closer to God, just as I have. It’s not about preaching; it’s about living and embodying those values every day.

Living in the United States, I often find myself forgetting my roots. In the hustle and bustle of everyday life, it’s easy to overlook the rich cultural and religious traditions that have shaped me. Sometimes, in an attempt to blend into society, I find myself losing touch with the very essence of who I am. But Tipsy Monk is the part of me that wakes up every day, striving to remember that we can serve God in countless ways, through every action, every thought, and every prayer.

Over the last couple of years, I spent almost a year in India — a period that brought me closer to God and deepened my spiritual practice. It was in India that I embraced vegetarianism fully and began wearing a Tulsi mala. These small changes might seem insignificant to some, but for me, they represent a deepening of my spiritual connection.

So, Tipsy Monk is not just a name or a blog. It’s a reflection of my ongoing transformation. It’s a reminder that we can all rebuild ourselves — spiritually and materially — as we strive to align with a higher truth, a higher purpose. I’m on this journey of self-discovery, and I’m grateful to share it with you.
